I definitely miss the fingerprint reader on laptops or pretty much anything today. I don't know why they aren't a standard now.

Windows 10 Photos setting

I have been using the photos app a bit more to test it out and I found this very annoying setting. When you check for the app to delete the photos from the camera, it will do it. If you take more pictures and plug the camera back, it will uncheck that and you will end up with pictures on both the camera and the computer. My camera software has this setting but it stays checked when I select it so that the camera gets cleared every time. On windows 10 you have to remember to check it again so that the files are deleted from the camera after they are transferred.  So make sure to check that before transferring files. I like to keep this setting checked so that the camera is ready to use again without having to go into the menu and manually deleting files. It just saves a little bit of time. I also forgot to mention that if you have to re-load your pictures because they didn't get deleted, you will also end up with double or even more of the same files. So watch out for this until they fix that.

How to really annoy your users and make them change operating systems. You would think Microsoft would have learned this by now.

Better late than never I guess. As if things weren't expensive enough. Those books cost and arm and a leg, not to mention they'll keep you from growing having to carry all that weight around.

ShareX - A simpler and small screen recorder without all the junk.

I'm usually doing screen recording for programs or just videos on something I may be working on. Unfortunately finding something that worked well has been hard to find in the past. I just found this one the other day and started using it. I like that the files are smaller and I don't have to re-encode them to make them smaller. Not to mention it's simple, smaller than others and just seems to work. It's also open source and you don't get any other software added like many other programs do. Check it out, I think you'll like it too. I think I have also finally fixed the sound on my videos. You can check out the new vmware page I just added to the bar on the right. I did the screen recording with this program and it works well. I decided to show this to you after watching someone posted an almost hour long video cast that is all blurry so you can't even read what is on the screen.

Here's one for budget gamers. You can now get slightly better integrated graphics. I like integrated becase it's one less thing to worry about in any small computers.

Car jump starters.

I have had to take out the battery out of my car to recharge it a few times because it's been getting low from sitting around. I got tired of that and I found these new types of jump starters. So far they seem to work. I have a different brand, but here's an example of what these look like. Just make sure you get something for your type of car. I don't think some of the smaller ones have enough power to jump a larger car. I have to say that the jumper is the one item I feel pretty good about buying. Not having to pull up another car feels pretty nice, or having to wait for someone else. You can find all types and sizes everywhere now. Some are more affordable than others and they work just as well.

Here's a video they have of a different model, but you get the idea.
Here's their other version that may work with larger cars. The scosche is more expensive, but you can find many others. https://www.amazon.com/SCOSCHE-PBJ700-PowerUp-700-Spark-Free/dp/B075D5CWPK

You can check out mine here. I got mine from amazon, but you can find them almost anywhere now. I do apologize for the camera, my Nikon just refuses to focus correctly.
