New spam email...

I just got this spam email, but I thought people should know about this sort of thing. First of all, that person they are referring to is not me. Someone just made this up and in short, are asking for payment or they will post a video they have. So don't fall for anything like this, and make sure your family members never do, because I have seen things like this over text and phone as well. Even if something like this happened to you, never pay anything.

Here's the actual text.

I know model26 is one of your password on day of hack..

Lets get directly to the point.

Not one person has paid me to check about you.

You do not know me and you're probably thinking why you are getting this email?

in fact, i actually placed a malware on the adult vids (adult porn) website and you know what, you visited this site to experience fun (you know what i mean).

When you were viewing videos, your browser started out operating as a RDP having a key logger which provided me with accessibility to your display and web cam.

immediately after that, my malware obtained every one of your contacts from your Messenger, FB, as well as email account.

after that i created a double-screen video. 1st part shows the video you were viewing (you have a nice taste omg), and 2nd part displays the recording of your cam, and its you.

Best solution would be to pay me $4347.

We are going to refer to it as a donation. in this situation, i most certainly will without delay remove your video.

My -BTC -address: 15V44xftwArVejfJCTspqnNmWk6bgkNkiC
[case SeNSiTiVe, copy & paste it]

You could go on your life like this never happened and you will not ever hear back again from me.
You'll make the payment via Bitcoin (if you do not know this, search 'how to buy bitcoin' in Google).

if you are planning on going to the law, surely, this e-mail can not be traced back to me, because it's hacked too.
I have taken care of my actions. i am not looking to ask you for a lot, i simply want to be paid.

if i do not receive the bitcoin;, i definitely will send out your video recording to all of your contacts including friends and family, co-workers, and so on.
Nevertheless, if i do get paid, i will destroy the recording immediately.

If you need proof, reply with Yeah then i will send out your video recording to your 8 friends.

it's a nonnegotiable offer and thus please don't waste mine time & yours by replying to this message.

Android 10 contacts and synchronization.

I have been updating some addresses on my android 10 phone and I have noticed that the addresses don't show completely. I also can't seem to add some information to some of them like the apartment number because there's no more room. The worst part is that the synchronization with google contacts is not working. I have the correct address online but not on the phone. I'm liking android 10 a lot for it's security features so apps don't go crazy doing whatever they want like the older versions. This is making me scratch my head though.

Testing browsers youtube to tv options.

I was just testing the different browsers to basically play youtube videos on tv. I just notice that only chrome has that option. Microsoft has an option to cast but the tv didn't get detected. Firefox, I can't seem to find any option. At least not yet.  I thought this was interesting since I wanted to start using a different browser to test. As you can see the option in chrome, it's on the bottom right, next to the other options. The others may have something but more hidden. I don't know.

Chrome

Firefox

Edge

When too much security is in place...

I am helping someone out and this system just locked me out after attempting to log in for the second time. Yes, the second time, and now I have to wait an hour to just try to log in again. Always remember, too much security can also be counterproductive so you have to find the right balance.

So after waiting for over and hour to let the password reset, I finally got to log in, but then I get this.

Some web servers are starting to show some issues.

I just went to find some information and noticed the problem with the website. Since everything has been moving online due to covid-19, I think we'll start seeing who has good servers in place and who doesn't.

Broadcom driver causes ssd to light up constantly.

I just installed a new ssd on my old acer laptop and as I have been installing programs, the ssd started being accessed constantly without me doing anything. I thought maybe one of the programs had some issue. I spent some time trying to figure out what programs may be causing the problem and uninstalling a few of the last ones I had installed but I had no luck. So I decided to go back to an earlier version of my restore and bam, the problem was gone. Then I updated both browsers again and things were still fine, then I remember the built-in sd car on this old acer needed its driver installed so I could get the pictures of my nikon sd card. I went ahead and installed the program, the card came up but so did my problem. I then proceeded to uninstall the driver and bam, everything is back to normal. I'm not sure why, but that's the only driver they have for this old laptop on the site.
