This video is from 2015, but it still applies today. I know this one will hit home with many people. I had my bad experience when I was a kid from a dentist that did more work than I really needed so now I take anything a dentist says with a grain of salt. I'm not saying all dentists are the same, but a lot of what I have seen here in the USA, even though the video is from Canada this is pretty much what you see in many places. It's sad when your health becomes just dollar signs to some dentists. But like any profession, there are good ones and bad ones.
I like doing different things so I hope some of this is helpful, or at least an interesting read for you.

High-tech car theft: How to hack a car (CBC Marketplace)
I wanted to to show you the new way thieves are getting into cars. I remember watching the news when those guys were caught on camera in long beach, California. Most alarm companies still haven't kept up with their alarm technologies, but here's the proof that they still need to get with the program. Most people don't even think about their cars when they leave them. The holidays are around the corner which is why I wanted to remind everyone about this. Keep in mind that any car can be stolen, it doesn't have to be a new high tech car, but taking any precautions that you can won't hurt anything. Also, don't leave anything of value just sitting in a car if possible. We have had things stolen from our cars, and even had cars stolen. So I know what that's like and it's why I got interested in security in general.

Myspace and Ad fraud scheme. This is a good example on how ads have gotten worst over time.
This will give you an idea of how hidden some of these things really are.

SSD mirrors
Well, at least now you know which mirror ssd may go first. This is very interesting either way.

Equifax, the site that keeps on giving. My suggestion is to stay away from their site for a while and just keep a close eye on your stuff yourself.
This is also the reason you don't allow ads or any other web services to run on your website that have nothing to do with the site. I have noticed these in some company websites.. Why does a company need ads on their site is beyond me if they have nothing to do with that.

Xen, no local iso access.
I just ran into this. I downloaded some isos and since they're on my local machine I thought I install them. Interestingly, I can't access the isos from my local machine. This is the first time I try doing an install from the local machine and sure enough, you can't do it, at least not from here. So I either have to burn a disk or usb stick if it works and try that or boot up the nas and move the files there which I didn't want to do since it's late at night. Very interesting but annoying since I'm doing it on my own server. I guess it's time to go to bed for now since I'm tired anyway. Always listen to your tired self when things don't work.
