Still can't save though.

Even if I don't change the name the file won't save...yup, I just verified this and even a blank document won't save. Something weird is going on with libreoffice because I still can't install open office either. Is it the Microsoft updates or office suite?
Fortunately there are many other options that you can use if these two programs are not working. This is the case here.

OpenOffice won't install either.

This is interesting, I can't even install open office either...I managed to get libreoffice installed again. Check the answer in the previous post.

Libreoffice spitting errors that won't allow install no matter what version it is.

This of course always happens when I need to use it.

UPDATE: Even after manually deleting any libreoffie reference, the problem persisted. I was able to finally get it installed by unchecking the create a link box at the beginning. After that, the install goes through without a problem. This should get you back up if you are having the same problem. I managed to do this, so I didn't bother trying to install openoffice again. I just came back from that to this.

Don't defrag your ssd. Microsoft will turn this back on again when they update your system.

I just started having a problem saving a document in LibreOffice. It's just kicking off some errors that it can't save the document. I thought I check the ssd since there were some Microsoft updates lately. Low and behold my settings have changed back to on. The manufacturer of my ssd recommends disabling defragmenting the drive. I have now changed this back to off and I may have to re-install the program again to fix that. Check your ssd drive manufacturer to see what they recommend since all of them are different. If they keep changing everything back on systems, this will be a nightmare to say the least if you have many computers with ssd's after every major update.

Firefox just downloaded an update, let's hope this fixed that memory hogging problem I mentioned earlier.

Well, that didn't fix the problem. Firefox just froze again and sure enough it's the same thing.

James bond has nothing on these guys. LOL

This is what matters.

Today as I read the news about people fighting at a mall and reading about other things in the news, I came across this article. Many people seem to have forgotten what's really important.

When people like Elon make some bold claims about their products.

Now don't get me wrong, he has done a lot, but sometimes even people like him say dumb things too. None of us are perfect, I'm sure we have all said something dumb at one point or another in out life time. Here's an actual retired truck driver talking from his experience. I was also thinking about something similar that he talked about in the presentation which is about the brakes lasting for the life of the truck. I say that was just another dumb thing he said, but I'm only saying this because I watched my father who is now a retired mechanic changed more brake pads on cars than I care to remember. I know that's pure hot air on his part. This is also what the truck driver talked about, stopping a loaded trailer. I guess it just amazes me when I see all these people go wow, wee, and get all excited about something new that's not even out yet, but many others have experience in those areas with or without the technology. Not to mention that jack knifing, tell that to black ice and a slippery slope on a very steep hill.
